Looking through my window I see the faces of beautiful people. Husbands and wives. Brothers and sister. Grandmas and grandpas. In the mist of decay and disenfranchisement these people are making the most that life has to offer. Jokes and laughter can be heard while dominoes are hitting tables and cards are being shuffled. The sun and the trees are in harmony as people enjoy their festivities. My prayer for Edenwald Houses is for the hand of God to cover her and for residents to see themselves in each other.
Emancipation from mental slavery can break any set of shackles. None but ourselves can free our minds. Have no fear of atomic energy. Not one of them can stop the time. Whatever device you have at your disposal use it to emancipate yourself and your peers. Be the planter. Let someone else be the Sower. The one who will bring forth the increase is God.
Independence is essential for the development and well-being of any group of people. Whether it's economics. Whether it's food. Whether it's academia. Whether it's art. Whether it's entertainment. Any sense of independence must be matched with strategy. As long as you are not an inmate in a correctional facility you have the independence to do as you wish.
Unity among our fellow brother and sisters in the fight for justice and equality is a must. Clenched together like a fist will help us demolish the walls of white supremacy (racism), prejudice, and bigotry. Dialogue and discussion will help us understand and see each other as equal. Conferences and forums will reshape the minds of generations to come. Unity helps us face the fact that they will be no excuse not to sit at the table and sort out our problems.
God has placed us on this earth at this moment in time for a purpose. Despite what our differences may be in order to have real peace and harmony it must start with our relationship with God. His statues and commandments must be tattooed on the templates of our hearts. Trusting each other more as the days get darker will be a step in the right direction. The faster we realize this the better it will be for solid foundations to be build. 1 Peter 3:4 (TLB) reads, "Be beautiful inside, in your hearts, with the lasting charm of a gentle and quiet spirit that is so precious to God." If this isn't a mantra to follow, I don't know what is.
Ladies and gentlemen. Boys and girls. Marathoners. Creators. Living testimonies. Competitors. Risk takers. Believers. Optimists. Citizens of planet earth. Thank you for your participation on The Mantra.
