Believe

 

  Devotion, royalty, and service are the characteristics that make up who I am. I am a mother's son. I am a marathoner. I am a trend-setter. I am a living testimony. I am a fierce competitor. I am a man that isn't afraid to challenge himself. All of this possible because I believe in myself.   

  The young woman who wants to break generational curses by enlisting in the U.S. Army. The young man who wants to give back to his community by starting a small business. The 45-year-old woman who wants to jump on her dream on being a battle rapper. The 50-year-old man that's living his dreams as a traveling DJ. I don't care who you are. All you have to do is believe.    

  Whatever hand you were given use it to your advantage and love it with all your heart. Learn to love things as they are so the things around you can get better. We have to become the people we want to be in order to live out our dreams. Individually, we must work towards what we want in our lives. Handouts will not be given. Tough skin and grinding are required.    

  Cherishment is when we treat our lives with care. Even the littlest of things must be treated with care. Everything that we hold dear should be protected. Without dreams we don't have anything to live for. Without vision we don't have the ability to see our dreams. The choice lays within us as to whether to stand up on our own two feet or stay seated.     

  Above all else we must romanticize our lives. Love our conditions to the point where we can face our challenges head on. Seek every opportunity as a way to represent people who are of the same cloth as us. Treat each other as comrades fighting on different fronts for human rights. Rub shoulders with those who may differ from us. Always remember that we are all God's children.
