Malcolm Darius Montgomery
Who is he? What does he do for a living? When does he display his outstanding attributes? Where is he from? How does he find the motivation to do his life's work? Questions such as these are asked towards individuals of high nobility and great courage.
For the last four months Montgomery has indulged himself in the 10-5-4 challenge where he reads 10 scriptures, reads 5 chapters of a book, and writes/or types 4 pages before the clock hits 12 midnight. This daily challenge keeps Montgomery's mind active and helps him stay sharp. Although Montgomery has never been an athlete, he still has a competitive nature when it comes to his craft. It's as if Montgomery is painting a portrait with every paragraph he writes, and the words are his colors of choice. The political and social views of Montgomery are shifting every day, every hour, every minute, and every second. Before our eyes Montgomery is being molded and shaped not just for his own benefit but for the sake of his fellow brothers and sisters.
It was May of 2018 when Montgomery published his first blog series on Blogger titled You Ain't Gotta Lie. No job, degree, or money next to his name Montgomery was left with no choice but to jump on his writing skills. A follow up to YAGI was The Masquerade which was written during the same time (the winter of 2018). Both of these blog series would lay the foundation for the work that Montgomery would do for the next six years. 25 blog series later and a college dropout has more published pages than credits earned from courses. The pen and paper are the only friends Montgomery has in this lonely world. Every time he tells these two his problems his skills and work ethic enhance.
November 2, 2015, was Montgomery's 21st birthday. It was on this day when Montgomery started his road to celibacy. Montgomery has been quoted saying, "Celibacy is more than just saving intercourse until marriage. Think of it as a way of getting to know yourself. A young man that was introverted, observant, and slightly socially awkward was and is not seen as eye candy to most young women. Montgomery used this disadvantage to his advantage. Throughout his twenties Montgomery was determined to become an intellectual titan. One may even say that Montgomery wouldn't be the man he is today if he weren't celibate.
February of 2013 Montgomery would become the man of his household. This left him with two responsibilities: school and co-parenting. Thorns and tacks were the result that would sometimes follow. Without a biological father or a stepfather (former) present Montgomery rose above critiques and mistakes and proved everyone wrong. 44 credits, 5 exams, and 4 years of high school finished with a bang. Trials and tribulations would make themselves known in the near future. But as we know gold doesn't become valuable until it goes through an acid test.
Here I stand before you not as a phenomenal writer. Not as a gentleman. Not as an intellectual charmer. But as a man that knows his gifts and limitations. A man who knows that everything he has ever possessed in his life is not accredited to himself. All glory and honor goes to God. Without Him I am nothing. My relationship with God is where I seek my purpose and identity. I walk among you as nothing more than a servant.
